Project Southchurch are a community organisation, founded in January 2019. We cover the ward of Southchurch and parts of Kursaal, Thorpe and St Luke’s wards. Our aim is to improve the Project Southchurch area as a place to live, work, leran and visit. We have a number of our own initiatives, we also work in partnership with other groups. We have a number of events planned, the cornerstone of which is HopeBox. The events are designed to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of this forgotten part of town.
Project Southchurch is a small charity and proud members of the Southend Association of Voluntary Services, Southend Independent Advisory Group, Southend Against Modern Slavery, Totally Locally Southend on Sea & founding members of the soon to be launched Southend East Alliance.
Project Southchurch are managed by Executive Committee, which is elected every March at our Annual General Meeting. The next of which is 14th March 2023. We are helped by a number of advisers covering the issues that we are connected with. There are a number of positions still available, appointments will be made by executive committee approval, as per our constitution.

We have forged partnerships with a number of agencies and organisations across Southend and South Essex. We have already started working on a number of projects that will benefit Southchurch.
We have reached the stage of development where we need more help. So we are looking for Divisional Secretaries, Co-ordinators and Volunteers/Community Ambassadors to help us deliver our initiatives.
We need to build our base, so that we can undertake all the initiatives that currently are active and all those we want to promote in the future.
Our recruitment and awareness campaign, Connect 4 Southchurch, is now launched.
So we are asking you to mention us to four others and share all about Project Southchurch.
